Collective Lulu & Whiskey

For two weeks we meander through Versam and its surroundings. We meet the inhabitants of the river, the clay particles, the mossy stones and the wasps in the gardens. We set up a temporary laboratory and studio in the Versam art garage, where we pickle, sieve, dry or distill what we have collected. At the same time, we develop small architectures made of regional clay mixtures and glass, which find their place in the laboratory both as containers and as sculptures. In conversations with the flora and fauna, with the Versam art collective and the residents of the village, we want to immerse ourselves in regional knowledge. An installation of exchange, solidarity and knowledge transfer grows along watery bodies - based on a hydrofeminist attitude.
During our residency, hydrolates and tinctures are created, which are filled into bottles and sprayed as the essence of the place, the moment and the state. The water from the Rabiusa forms a possible storage body. This is enriched by dissolved plant substances from the environment. Perhaps conversations and other substances are written into the water? And what information does this water and the plants already carry with them?
In the workshop, we will create a Versam hydrolat together, which you can take home. We would be happy to receive herbs and plants from your gardens or anything else you would like to distill.
